The ST161608SS gives you a square 16 x 16 in footprint with 8 in of depth in the Eclipse ST sloped top line. It suits integrators and panel builders who need a compact Type 4X stainless steel wallmount enclosure for electrical or electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments, with a sloped top that keeps water from resting on the enclosure and can provide room for controls mounting.
It is formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a smooth brushed natural stainless finish. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, while a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the hinged door. Quarter turn latches require a tool to open, hinges are 304 stainless, and hinge pins are stainless steel. Doors are removable for modifications and interchangeable.
Front height (H1) is 16.00 in and H2 is 18.89 in (480 mm). According to the drawing, the door opening is 14.49 in wide by 14.47 in high and the door is 15.97 in wide, with a 70° slope. The EP1616 optional inner panel measures 14.20 x 14.20 in (361 x 361 mm).
Four 0.50 in wall mounting holes sit on 14.50 x 14.50 in centres, and the included hardware kit supplies panel mounting nuts and sealing washers. Add a mounting foot kit to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. The door carries a bonding stud and the body a grounding stud.
The ST161608SS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 rated, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 plus IEC 60529 IP66, and ships boxed at 28 lbs (12.70 kg).
