Hammond SDC246U17BK 6U Enclosed Wall-Mount Cabinet, 17.5 in Deep

The SDC246U17BK is a 6U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet built to house standard 19-inch rack equipment where floor space is limited and the gear needs to be protected. It suits IT and AV integrators, low-voltage contractors, telecom technicians and facilities teams outfitting small network closets, branch and retail sites, offices and edge network locations.

Construction is 16-gauge steel for the frame and cover with 12-gauge rails, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant for a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant surface suited to indoor use. Static load ratings for the series are up to 150 lb wall or ceiling mounted and 800 lb freestanding, and the rails carry integrated rack unit markings to speed equipment layout.

Overall dimensions are 12.72 in x 24.00 in x 17.50 in (323 mm x 610 mm x 445 mm), with usable mounting dimensions of 10.50 in high, 19.00 in wide and 15.50 in deep. The four square-hole rails accept 10-32 cage nuts and offer a mounting depth range from 7.22 in to 16.01 in, so equipment of varying depths can be positioned as needed. Shipping weight is 35 lbs (15.88 kg).

The cabinet ships as an enclosure with an installed removeable cover, four mounting rails with hardware, two installed plastic handles, ten 10-32 screws and cage nuts, and installation instructions. Assembly hardware is included; wall mounting hardware is not. The accessory panel supports 2.5", 2.0", 1-3/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/8" and 7/8" conduit knockouts, and fan kit knockouts allow active cooling to be added later. Optional 6U solid, vented, cable entry/fan and conduit/fan cover panels expand the SDC246U17BK for specific airflow or security requirements.
