Hammond SDC246U31BK 6U Enclosed Wall-Mount Rack Cabinet, 31.5 in Deep

The SDC246U31BK is a 6U multi-mount rack cabinet from the SDC Series, built to securely house 19-inch rack equipment in space-constrained locations such as small network closets, retail and branch sites, and edge network deployments. It arrives as an enclosure with an installed removeable cover, four mounting rails with hardware, two installed plastic handles, ten 10-32 screws and cage nuts, and installation instructions.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel for the frame, cover and doors, with heavier 12-gauge rails that carry integrated rack unit markings for fast equipment positioning. Static load ratings are up to 150 lb when wall or ceiling mounted and 800 lb freestanding. The RAL9005 black powder coat finish is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant, giving a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant surface suited to indoor environments.

Overall dimensions are 12.72 in high x 24.00 in wide x 31.50 in deep (323 x 610 x 800 mm), with usable mounting space of 10.50 in high x 19.00 in wide x 29.50 in deep (267 x 610 x 749 mm) for 6U of equipment. The drawing shows an adjustable mounting depth from 16.84 in minimum to 30.01 in maximum. Rails are square hole with 10-32 cage nuts. Shipping weight is 54 lbs (24.49 kg).

An accessory panel supports 2.5", 2.0", 1-3/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/8" and 7/8" conduit knockouts for flexible cable entry, and the fan-ready design includes knockouts for optional fan kits. Optional 6U solid (SDC6UD), vented (SDC6UVD), cable entry/fan (SDC6USD) locking doors and the SDC6UCFP conduit/fan cover panel let you configure SDC246U31BK for airflow or added protection. Assembly hardware is included; mounting hardware is not. TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
