Hammond SDC249U17BK 9U Enclosed Wall-Mount Rack Cabinet, 17.5 in Deep

The SDC249U17BK is a 9U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet built to secure 19-inch rack equipment where floor space is limited. It suits small network closets and IT rooms, retail and branch locations, telecom and low-voltage installations, office environments that need secure equipment storage, and edge or distributed network deployments. As an enclosed wall rack, it protects installed gear from dust and tampering while keeping cabling and equipment neatly organized.

Construction is 16-gauge steel for the frame, cover and doors, with 12-gauge rails and integrated rack unit markings. The mild steel body carries a RAL9005 black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant, giving a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant surface suited to indoor environments. Static load ratings for the series are up to 150 lb when wall or ceiling mounted and 800 lb freestanding.

Overall dimensions are 17.97 in x 24.00 in x 17.50 in (456 mm x 610 mm x 445 mm), with 9U of usable mounting height at 15.75 in (400 mm), a 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width and 15.50 in (394 mm) of usable mounting depth. The drawing shows a 19-inch mounting width of 18.35 in (466 mm) and an adjustable mounting depth from 7.22 in to 16.01 in. Shipping weight is 42 lbs (19.05 kg).

Each SDC249U17BK ships with the enclosure and installed removable cover, four mounting rails with hardware, two installed plastic handles, ten 10-32 screws and cage nuts, and installation instructions. Assembly hardware is included; wall mounting hardware is not. The cabinet accepts optional 9U solid, vented, or cable-entry/fan locking doors and a conduit/fan cover panel, and includes knockouts for optional fan kits plus an accessory panel with 2.5", 2.0", 1-3/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/8" and 7/8" conduit knockouts. It is TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, and made in North America.
