Hammond SDC243U31BK 3U Enclosed Wall-Mount Cabinet, 31.5in Deep

The SDC243U31BK is a 3U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet from the SDC Multi-Mount series, built for securely housing 19-inch rack equipment in space-constrained environments. It suits IT and network closets, retail and branch sites, telecom and low-voltage work, and edge or distributed network deployments where equipment must be protected from dust and tampering without consuming floor space.

Construction is 16-gauge steel for the frame, cover and doors, with 12-gauge rails. Rails are square hole with 10-32 cage nuts and carry integrated rack unit markings for fast, repeatable equipment placement. The finish is a RAL9005 black powder coat that is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant, providing a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant surface suited to indoor installations. The base material is mild steel.

Overall dimensions are 7.47 in high x 24.00 in wide x 31.50 in deep (190 x 610 x 800 mm), with 24.34 in (618 mm) across the drawing width and a usable mounting area of 5.25 in high x 19.00 in wide x 29.50 in deep (133 x 483 x 749 mm). Mounting depth is adjustable from 16.84 in minimum to 30.01 in maximum. Static load ratings are up to 150 lb wall or ceiling mounted and 800 lb freestanding. Shipping weight is 46 lbs (20.87 kg).

Each SDC243U31BK ships as an enclosure with installed removable cover, four mounting rails with hardware, two installed plastic handles, ten 10-32 screws and cage nuts (replacement kit CAGKIT1032-10), and installation instructions. Assembly hardware is included; wall mounting hardware is not. An accessory panel supports 2.5 in, 2.0 in, 1-3/4 in, 1-3/8 in, 1-1/8 in and 7/8 in conduit knockouts, and the fan-ready design includes knockouts for optional fan kits. Optional 3U solid, vented, or cable-entry/fan locking doors and a conduit/fan cover panel are available, along with caster kits. The cabinet is TAA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, and made in North America.
