Hammond CAGKIT1032-10 10-32 Rack Screw and Cage Nut Kit, 10 Pack

The CAGKIT1032-10 is a 10-piece rack mounting hardware kit containing 10 black 10-32 rack screws with installed nylon washers and 10 zinc-plated cage nuts, supplied in a clam shell package. It is intended for IT, telecommunications, industrial networking and data center work where equipment is mounted into square-hole rack rails, and the small pack size suits single-device installs, service calls and replacing lost or damaged hardware.

Each screw is a 10-32 x 3/4" Quadrex truss head machine screw with a full dog point and a captive flat washer. The screw is low carbon steel with a black oxide finish and is heat treated to ANSI B18.6.3 specification; the self-guiding pilot point helps align equipment and reduces cross-threading. The captive washer is black Nylon 6/6, 0.429"-0.439" outside diameter and 0.030"-0.040" thick, helping protect painted rack rails and equipment faceplates from scratches. The Quadrex recess accepts a #2R Type-III square recess driver or a #2 Type-I Phillips cross recess driver.

The matching cage nuts are zinc-plated austempered spring steel with a cage hardness of HRC 38-42, and they fit standard 3/8-inch (9.54 mm) square-hole rack rails, making them compatible with Hammond cabinets and most industry-standard square-hole racks. The 10-32 thread is one of the most common rack equipment thread sizes, so a single CAGKIT1032-10 kit covers servers, switches, patch panels, PDUs, UPS systems and AV equipment.
