Hammond SDC243U24BK 3U Wall-Mount Rack Cabinet, 24.5 in Deep

The SDC243U24BK is a 3U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet built to secure 19-inch rack equipment where floor space is limited. It suits small network closets, retail and branch sites, telecom and low-voltage work, and edge or distributed network deployments that need organized, protected equipment mounting. Overall size is 7.47 in x 24 in x 24.5 in (190 mm x 610 mm x 622 mm), with a shipping weight of 36 lbs (16.33 kg).

Construction is 16-gauge steel for the frame, cover and doors, with 12-gauge rails and integrated rack unit markings. Static load ratings for the series are up to 150 lb wall or ceiling mounted and 800 lb freestanding. The mild steel body is finished in RAL9005 black powder coat, a low-emitting, corrosion-resistant coating that is GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant for indoor environments.

Usable mounting space measures 5.25 in high (3U) x 19.00 in wide x 22.50 in deep, and the four included rails accept square-hole mounting with 10-32 cage nuts. The drawing shows a mounting depth adjustment range from a minimum of 9.84 in to a maximum of 23.01 in, so equipment of varying depths can be positioned as needed. Each SDC243U24BK ships with the enclosure and installed removeable cover, four mounting rails with hardware, two installed plastic handles, ten 10-32 screws and cage nuts (replacement kit CAGKIT1032-10), and installation instructions. Assembly hardware is included; wall mounting hardware is not.

The cabinet is fan-ready with knockouts for optional fan kits, and an accessory panel supports 2.5", 2.0", 1-3/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/8" and 7/8" conduit knockouts for flexible cable entry. Optional 3U solid, vented, cable entry/fan and conduit/fan cover panels (SDC3UD, SDC3UVD, SDC3USD, SDC3UCFP) let you configure airflow versus protection.
