Hammond RCHS1901417LG1 8U 17.5 in Deep Solid-Side Rack Cabinet

The RCHS1901417LG1 is an 8U solid-side rack cabinet for mounting standard 19-inch equipment in AV and media installations, test and measurement benches, industrial control systems, labs and small IT or network setups. It belongs to the RCH Series of knock-down rack cabinets, which ship unassembled for easier transport, handling and installation in constrained spaces.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel with an 800 lb load rating, finished in RAL7035 light gray textured powder coat. The finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the part is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America (country of origin: CA). PVC non-marking feet and two black plastic handles are included for mobility and surface protection.

Overall dimensions are 16.00 in (406 mm) high x 21.00 in (533 mm) wide x 17.50 in (445 mm) deep, with usable mounting dimensions of 14.00 in (356 mm) high x 19.00 in (483 mm) wide x 16.25 in (413 mm) deep, giving 8U of rack space. The front opening measures 17.81 in (452 mm) and the 19-inch mounting flange dimension is 18.35 in (466 mm). Shipping weight is 42 lbs (19.05 kg).

Two pairs of adjustable-depth, EIA-310 compliant round-hole mounting rails (four punched combo rails) are supplied, along with a starter pack of 16 10-32 screws and clip nuts. The self-squaring design allows quick assembly using minimal hardware, and the open cabinet structure accepts optional panels and doors for flexible ventilation and access configurations. Optional RCH accessories include an 8U door (RCHD1914BK1 or RCHD1914LG1), an additional pair of mounting rails (RCHR1914) and caster kits. Note that RCHS1901417LG1 is not designed or intended to be wall mounted.
