Hammond RB-DC4242 42U Assembled Server Cabinet, 2,200 lb Capacity

The RB-DC4242 is a 42U assembled server rack cabinet from the Rack Basics RB-DC Series, built for IT, networking, edge and data center installations that need a complete enclosure ready for equipment. It ships with doors, side panels, mounting rails, casters and leveling feet already installed, so on-site work is limited to positioning, leveling and loading equipment.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel finished in RAL9005 black powder coat, with a load tested capacity of 2,200 lb for servers, switches, UPS systems and storage. The perforated front door and split rear doors provide approximately 63% open area to support front-to-rear airflow for active IT equipment, while the removable vented top panel includes cable entry points for overhead routing and fan integration. The open bottom allows unobstructed cable entry from raised floors or below-cabinet routing.

Overall dimensions of the RB-DC4242 are 78.64 in (1997 mm) high, 23.62 in (600 mm) wide and 42.74 in (1086 mm) deep, with a nominal listed size of 78.43 in x 23.63 in x 42 in. The 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width and 73.50 in (1867 mm) of mounting height provide the full 42U of rack space. Usable depth is 35.38 in (899 mm) without the PDU tray, or 30.20 in (767 mm) with it.

Locking, removable front and rear doors and split, locking side panels support physical security for installations subject to PCI DSS requirements. The cabinet is RoHS and REACH compliant, and ships at 316 lbs (143.34 kg).
