Hammond RB-2PW-EXT 7-Inch Depth Extension Bracket Kit for Wall Racks

The RB-2PW-EXT is an optional extension bracket kit for RB-2PW Series open frame 2-post wall-mount racks. It increases the rack's usable mounting depth from 18 inches to 25 inches, adding seven inches of clearance for deeper switches, patch panel assemblies and telecom hardware, while maintaining the rack's weight load capacity.

Each kit includes four extension brackets, supplied as two left-hand and two right-hand supports, along with the assembly hardware needed to attach them: eight 1/4-20 x 1/2 in. screws and eight 1/4-20 KEP nuts. Wall mounting hardware is not included. When installed, the mounting hole centers are 16 in., matching standard stud spacing.

The brackets are made from mild steel with a painted black thin film finish, consistent with the RB-2PW rack they extend. Individual brackets measure 14.38 in. (365 mm) across the top view with a 5.69 in. (144 mm) front-view height and 2.00 in. (51 mm) profile, and include fourteen 0.28 in. (7 mm) holes plus 0.19 in. x 1.00 in. (5 mm x 25 mm) slots for assembly and adjustment.

RB-2PW-EXT is manufactured in Canada, is TAA compliant, USMCA compliant, and RoHS and REACH compliant, which supports government and enterprise procurement requirements. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).

Note that the RB-2PW rack this kit extends is not designed nor intended to be used for non-wall mounted applications, so the extension brackets should only be used in wall-mounted installations.
