Hammond RB-AV18 18U Glass Door AV Cabinet, 950 lb Capacity

The RB-AV18 is a fully assembled 18U audio-visual rack cabinet built for residential AV, security and surveillance, and small commercial installations. It ships with shelves, panels and mounting rails already installed, so integrators and installers can move straight to mounting equipment instead of building a cabinet on site. It is part of the Rack Basics line, intended for simple, reliable and affordable installations.

Construction is 16-gauge welded steel with a 950 lb load capacity, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that is RoHS compliant. The base material is mild steel. Overall dimensions are 38.90 in (988 mm) high by 23.62 in (600 mm) wide by 23.62 in (600 mm) deep, giving a compact footprint suited to home theater rooms, network closets and equipment rooms. Shipping weight is 140 lbs (63.50 kg).

Equipment mounts on two pairs of adjustable-depth, EIA-310 compliant 10-32 tapped rails formed from 13-gauge steel, providing 18U of 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width, 31.50 in (800 mm) of mounting height and 21.00 in (533 mm) of usable depth. A starter pack of fifty 10-32 screws is included.

The RB-AV18 includes a lightly smoked, removable tempered glass front door, a solid removable steel rear door and two removable solid side panels, each secured with a quarter-turn lock for visibility and security. Passive ventilation is provided on the top, bottom and sides, with optional fan support for higher-heat AV and network gear. The steel frame comes with factory-installed leveling feet, recessed casters and grounding studs; the casters and feet are removable for fixed installations. Removable cable access panels on the top and bottom simplify cable routing, and the cabinet meets PCI DSS requirements where secure installations are specified.
