Hammond RB-AV42 42U Assembled AV Cabinet, 950 lb Capacity

The RB-AV42 is a 42U fully assembled audio-visual rack cabinet built for residential AV, home theater, security and surveillance, and small commercial AV installations. It ships assembled with pre-installed shelves, panels and mounting rails, so integrators and installers can deploy equipment without building or configuring a cabinet on site.

Construction is 16-gauge welded mild steel with a 950 lb load capacity, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that is RoHS compliant. The cabinet includes a lightly smoked tempered glass removable front door and a solid removable steel rear door, both with quarter-turn locks, plus two solid removable side panels with quarter-turn locks for access during installation and maintenance. Passive ventilation on the top, bottom and sides — with optional fan support — helps manage heat from AV and network gear, and removable cable access panels on the top and bottom simplify cable entry.

Overall dimensions of the RB-AV42 are 80.91 in (2055 mm) high x 23.62 in (600 mm) wide x 23.62 in (600 mm) deep, with a compact 23.62 in square footprint. Usable mounting space is 42U: 73.50 in (1867 mm) of mounting height, 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width and 21.00 in (533 mm) usable depth. Two pairs of adjustable-depth, EIA-310 compliant 10-32 tapped mounting rails in 13-gauge steel accept standard 19 inch rack equipment, and a starter pack of fifty 10-32 screws is included.

The steel frame arrives with factory-installed leveling feet, recessed casters and grounding studs; casters and leveling feet are removable, supporting either mobile or fixed installations. Two 2U vented rack shelves are factory installed. The cabinet meets PCI DSS requirements for secure installations and is part of the Rack Basics line. RCK42U25BK is listed as the RCK alternative.
