Hammond RASU190318BK1 2U 18-Inch Deep Solid Rack Shelf, 100 lb

RASU190318BK1 is a 2U solid (un-vented) universal rack shelf from the RAS Series, sized for standard 19-inch EIA-compliant racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need a dependable support surface for equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted, such as small servers, UPS units, amplifiers, media devices and peripherals.

The shelf is formed from 14-gauge mild steel and finished in a black textured powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance goals. The solid, un-vented deck provides maximum surface support for equipment with feet or uneven bases, while a stiffener lip folded up at the back adds rigidity and helps keep gear from sliding off the rear edge.

Mounting dimensions are 3.50 in (89 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 18.00 in (457 mm) deep, occupying 2U of rack space. The drawing shows a 19.01 in (483 mm) front panel width, a 17.50 in (444 mm) shelf width and eight 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots across the front flange for alignment with standard rack rails. Suggested load capacity is 100 lbs (45 kg), and the series is tested to double the suggested load rating.
