Hammond RASU190120BK1 1U Solid 20-Inch Deep Cantilever Rack Shelf

The RASU190120BK1 is a 1U solid (un-vented) cantilever rack shelf from the RAS Series, built to support equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. Its 20-inch depth suits deeper devices such as small servers, UPS units, amplifiers, media devices and network peripherals, making it a practical choice for IT, AV and industrial installations.

Construction is mild steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance requirements. The solid (un-vented) shelf surface provides maximum surface support; a vented equivalent, RASV190120BK1, is offered in the same size if airflow is the priority. A stiffener lip folded up at the back adds rigidity and helps keep equipment in place.

Mounting dimensions are 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 20.00 in (508 mm) deep, occupying 1U of rack space. The drawing shows a 19.01 in (483 mm) overall front width with 4X 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots, and an internal surface of 17.36 in (441 mm). The 16-gauge shelf carries a suggested load capacity of 42 lbs (19 kg) in the series table, while the part drawing and description state a maximum weight of 40 lb; RAS Series shelves were tested to double the suggested load rating.

RASU190120BK1 uses a universal design that mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet and can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA compliant, made in Canada, and ships at 12 lbs (5.44 kg).
