Hammond RASU190115BK1 1U Solid Cantilever Rack Shelf, 15 in Deep

The RASU190115BK1 is a 1U solid (un-vented) universal rack shelf from the RAS Series, built to support equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. Its 15.00 in (381 mm) deep, fully closed platform gives maximum surface support for IT, AV and industrial gear, making it a practical choice for integrators, network technicians, facilities teams and OEM engineers who need a dependable cantilevered shelf in a single rack unit of space.

Construction is mild steel with a black textured powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, supporting indoor air quality and environmental compliance goals. This 1U version uses 16-gauge steel with a suggested load capacity of 42 lbs (19 kg); the part drawing notes a maximum weight of 40 lb. Hammond states RAS Series shelves were tested to double the suggested load rating. A stiffener lip is folded up at the back only, adding rigidity along the rear edge while keeping the front open for loading equipment.

Mounting dimensions are 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 15.00 in (381 mm) deep, with four 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots in the front flange for attachment to any standard EIA-compliant rack rail or cabinet. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The universal design also allows the shelf to be mounted internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface.
