Hammond RASU190107UBK1 1U Solid 7-Inch Deep Rack Shelf, 40 lb Rated

The RASU190107UBK1 is a 1U solid (un-vented) cantilever rack shelf from the RAS Series, built to support non-rackmount equipment in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. Its solid deck gives a continuous support surface, making it a practical choice for IT, AV and industrial gear that cannot be mounted directly to rack rails. The universal design mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet.

Construction is mild steel in 16-gauge for this size, finished in a textured black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. Stiffener lips are folded up at both the front and back of this model, adding rigidity and helping keep equipment located on the shelf. The part is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, TAA compliant, and made in Canada.

Mounting dimensions are 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide with a 7.00 in (178 mm) depth, occupying 1U of rack space. The drawing gives an overall front width of 19.01 in (483 mm), a top surface of 17.50 in (444 mm) with 17.39 in (442 mm) inside, and four 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots. Suggested load capacity is listed as 16ga 42 lbs (19 kg) in the series table, with the part drawing noting a maximum weight of 40 lb; RAS Series shelves were tested to double the suggested load rating.

Shipping weight is 3.15 lbs (1.43 kg). Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. RASU190107UBK1 can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface where a usable flat surface is needed in the rack.
