Hammond RASU190107DBK1 1U Solid Rack Shelf, 7 in Deep, 42 lb Load

The RASU190107DBK1 is a 1U solid (un-vented) universal rack shelf from Hammond's RAS Series, built to support non-rackmount equipment inside standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. Its shallow 7.00 in (178 mm) depth suits shallow wall-mount cabinets, network closets and AV racks where a full-depth shelf will not fit, while the solid deck provides maximum surface support for small devices, media converters, power supplies and peripherals.

Construction is mild steel in 16-gauge for this size, folded with stiffener lips front and back in the down orientation, and finished in a textured black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. Mounting dimensions are 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 19.30 in (490 mm) wide by 7.00 in (178 mm) deep, occupying a single rack unit. The drawing shows a 19.01 in (483 mm) wide front flange with four 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots on 18.32 in (465 mm) centres, and a shelf plate 17.50 in (444 mm) wide.

Suggested load capacity is 42 lbs (19 kg); RAS Series shelves are tested to double their suggested load rating, and the part drawing lists a maximum weight of 40 lb. The universal slot pattern mounts to any standard EIA-compliant rack or cabinet, and the shelf can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf.

RASU190107DBK1 ships at 4 lbs (1.81 kg), is made in Canada, and is USMCA, TAA, RoHS and REACH compliant with ECCN EAR99 — useful documentation for government, data centre and OEM procurement. A vented equivalent, RASV190107DBK1, is offered in the same size for airflow-sensitive loads.
