Hammond RASU190112BK1 1U 12-Inch Deep Solid Steel Rack Shelf

The RASU190112BK1 is a 1U fixed rack shelf with a solid (un-vented) 12 in deep surface, sized for standard 19 inch racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, AV and industrial users who need to support equipment that cannot be directly rack-mounted — network appliances, amplifiers and media devices, small servers, UPS units, test gear and other peripherals.

Construction is mild steel in 16-gauge for this 1U size, finished in a textured black powder coat that is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The solid deck gives maximum surface support for equipment with feet or small footprints, while a stiffener lip folded up at the back adds rigidity and helps keep gear from sliding rearward. Suggested load capacity is 42 lb (19 kg); the part drawing lists a maximum weight of 40 lb, and Hammond notes RAS Series shelves were tested to double the suggested load rating.

Nominal size is 1.75 in x 19 in x 12 in (44 mm x 483 mm x 305 mm), with mounting dimensions of 1.75 in high, 19.30 in wide and 12.00 in deep. The drawing shows an overall front panel width of 19.01 in (483 mm), a 17.50 in (444 mm) wide shelf area and 17.36 in (441 mm) inside width, with eight 0.25 x 0.38 in mounting slots across an 18.32 in (465 mm) span for universal EIA hole-pattern compatibility.

RASU190112BK1 can be installed internally as a shelf or externally as a work surface. Mounting hardware is not supplied with the shelf. The part is made in Canada, USMCA compliant, TAA compliant, REACH and RoHS compliant, and ships at 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
