Hammond PPFS19003BK 2U Perforated Steel Rack Panel, 19 in Wide

The PPFS19003BK is a 2U perforated steel rack panel that covers unused rack space while still allowing air to pass through it. It suits IT and network teams, AV integrators, telecom technicians and facilities staff who need to close off open gaps in a 19 in rack without fully blocking airflow to active equipment.

The panel is made of 16-gauge mild steel and finished in a smooth RAL9005 matte black powder coat. Hammond notes the powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the part is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant as well as TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America, which supports government procurement requirements. The matching light gray version of this size is PPFS19003LG2.

PPFS19003BK measures 3.5 in x 19 in x 0.5 in (89 mm x 483 mm x 13 mm) and occupies 2U of usable mounting height on standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails. Its perforated pattern allows approximately 25% airflow, so it can be used to balance ventilation and containment strategies in higher-density racks rather than sealing them off completely. Shipping weight is 1.2 lbs (0.54 kg).

Mounting is through four 0.250 x 0.375 in (6 mm x 10 mm) slots, spaced across an 18.32 in (465 mm) hole pattern, so the panel can be positioned on standard rail hole spacing. Per the drawing, mounting hardware is not included and should be ordered to suit the rack rails in use.
