Hammond PPFS19005BK 3U Perforated Steel Rack Panel, 25% Airflow

The PPFS19005BK is a 3U perforated steel rack panel that covers unused space in a standard 19 in rack while still allowing air to pass through. It is intended for IT, AV and telecom installers who need to fill open rack space for a tidy, organized front elevation without fully blocking airflow to active equipment. The perforated pattern allows approximately 25% airflow, which supports cooling and ventilation strategies in rack environments.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel, finished in a smooth powder coat in RAL9005 matte black. The same panel is offered in RAL7035 semi-gloss light gray as PPFS19005LG2. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA compliant, manufactured in North America to support government procurement requirements.

Usable mounting dimensions are 3U, 5.25 in (133 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 0.50 in (13 mm) deep. The drawing shows an overall panel height of 5.22 in (133 mm) with a 19.00 in (483 mm) width, 0.12 in (3 mm) corner radii and a 0.06 in (1 mm) material thickness consistent with 16 GA steel.

PPFS19005BK mounts to standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails using 0.250 x 0.375 in (6 mm x 10 mm) mounting slots and 0.18 in (4 mm) mounting holes. Mounting hardware is not included, so specify rack screws or cage nuts to match your rails. The PPFS series is available in multiple heights to match different rack configurations, making it straightforward to standardize vented coverage across a row of cabinets or open frames.
