Hammond PJW483614L 48x36x14 Type 4X Fiberglass Wallmount Enclosure

The PJW483614L is a deep 48.25 x 36.25 x 14.13 in (1,226 x 921 x 359 mm) Type 4X fiberglass polyester wallmount enclosure. Its 14.13 in depth accommodates bulkier devices in instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures, and it is built for hose-down, very wet, high-temperature and highly corrosive applications.

The gel-coat, fiberglass and resin box and cover come in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. According to the drawing, the wall is 0.15 in (3.91 mm), the hinge is continuous stainless steel, and three padlock-provisioned stainless steel draw latches with keeper plates secure the door; the series specifies stainless steel butterfly twist-latch fasteners. An EPDM gasket seals the cover. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled.

Eight 3/8 collar studs, provided for added stiffness on sizes 36x36 in and larger, accept the optional 18P4533 inner panel measuring 45.00 x 33.00 in (1143 x 838 mm). Hardware is included: PVC spacers, stainless steel 3/8-16x2 threaded rod, internal teeth locking washers, flat washers and 3/8-16 hex head nuts. The drawing also shows an optional painted carbon steel back panel 0.105 in (2.67 mm) thick. Installation uses the integrated mounting flange.
