Hammond PJW483610L 48x36x10 Type 4X Fiberglass Wallmount Enclosure

The PJW483610L is a 48.25 x 36.25 x 10.13 in (1,226 x 921 x 257 mm) Type 4X fiberglass polyester wallmount enclosure. The tall 48 in format gives space for larger instrument layouts, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring, in places where equipment is hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to highly corrosive substances.

Box and cover are gel-coat, fiberglass and resin in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The part drawing shows a 0.15 in (3.91 mm) wall, a continuous stainless steel hinge and three stainless steel draw latches with keeper plates and padlock provision (the series describes stainless steel butterfly twist-latch fasteners). An EPDM gasket provides the seal, and the polyester can be easily punched, cut or drilled.

The optional inner panel for this size is 18P4533, measuring 45.00 x 33.00 in (1143 x 838 mm) in white powder coated steel. Being larger than 36x36 in, the enclosure has 8 collar studs for added stiffness, and the 3/8 mounting hardware is included: PVC spacers, stainless steel 3/8-16x2 threaded rod, internal teeth locking washers, flat washers and 3/8-16 hex head nuts. The drawing also shows an optional painted carbon steel back panel 0.105 in (2.67 mm) thick. It hangs by an integrated mounting flange.
