Hammond PJU16148HF 16x14x8 Solid Cover Type 4X Fiberglass Box, Flange

The PJU16148HF is a 16 x 14 x 8 PJU Series Type 4X junction box with a solid fiberglass polyester cover and two glued polycarbonate mounting flanges. It targets panel shops, electricians and OEM engineers who need a non-metallic enclosure for instruments, controls or terminal wiring in wet, hot or highly corrosive environments.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors. The manufacturer short description reads "NONMET LIFT HNG SC CVR FLAN". The cover pivots on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and is secured by captive stainless steel screws into #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings, sealing on a captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket.

The enclosure measures 16.05 in x 14.27 in x 8.13 in (408 x 362 x 207 mm) and has a shipping weight of 14 lbs (6.35 kg). Flange screws are stainless steel into brass inserts, and mounting hardware is included. The body can be punched, cut or drilled for conduit and devices.

The optional 14R1513 inner panel measures 14.75 in x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm); back panels come in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. The PJU16148HF series standards are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with operation from -40°C to 130°C and REACH and RoHS compliance.
