Hammond PJU16148CCH 16x14x8 Clear Cover Type 4X Polyester Box with Feet

PJU16148CCH is a 16 x 14 x 8 Type 4X junction box from the PJU Series with a clear polycarbonate cover and four polycarbonate mounting feet. The clear cover lets technicians check devices, terminals or indicators at a glance, while the fiberglass polyester box handles wet, hot and corrosive locations.

The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and it is easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover is hung on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin and seals against a captive, oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket. Two stainless steel captive cover screws engage #10-32 brass inserts and are retained by O-rings.

With a size of 16.05 in x 14.27 in x 8.13 in (408 x 362 x 207 mm), this enclosure offers an 8.13 in depth for larger components. Its listed shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). The optional 14R1513 inner panel measures 14.75 in x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm) and fastens with plated carbon steel screws into brass inserts.

Feet attach with stainless steel screws, and mounting hardware is included. Typical uses are instrument enclosures, control housings and terminal wiring boxes. The series standards are UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, with an operating range of -40°C to 130°C. The PJU16148CCH is REACH and RoHS compliant.
