The PJU16148CCHF combines a clear polycarbonate cover with a flange-mount fiberglass polyester Type 4X box, sized 16 x 14 x 8. It is one of the PJU Series continuous hinge enclosures with screw-fastened covers, suited to integrators and plant electricians housing controls or terminations where equipment may be hosed down or exposed to corrosion.
The box is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors and a body that can be punched, cut or drilled. The clear cover swings on a molded hinge with a stainless steel pin, seals on a captive oil resistant closed cell neoprene gasket, and is held closed by captive stainless steel screws in #10-32 brass inserts with retaining O-rings. The manufacturer short description reads "NONMET LIFT HNG SC CLR CVRFLAN".
