The PJ242010RT is a 24 x 20 x 10.13 in (610 x 508 x 257 mm) wallmount junction box from the PJ Series, built for instrument housings, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control enclosures, junction boxes and terminal wiring. It carries UL 508A and cUL ratings for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and meets IEC 60529 IP66, so it suits sites where equipment is hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
Box and solid raised lid are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in a gray finish with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. The material is easily punched, cut or drilled for conduit and device openings, and the wall is 0.14 in (3.58 mm) thick. The door hangs on stainless steel hinges and closes with four 316 stainless steel lockable draw-type twist latches that accept a padlock, sealing against a formed-in-place polyurethane gasket.
Inside, six 3/8"-16 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 18P2117 inner panel (21.00 x 17.00 in / 533 x 432 mm). The drawing lists back panel thicknesses of 0.100 in aluminum, 0.105 in white steel and 0.250 in fiberglass.
For wall mounting, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to 3/8"-16 brass inserts on the rear; this size uses the larger mounting foot. Foot holes are 0.56 in (14.30 mm) in diameter. The enclosure is rated from 130°C down to -40°C, has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), ships at 25 lbs (11.34 kg), and is RoHS and REACH compliant. A window-cover version is available as PJ242010RTW.
