The PJ18168RTW is the window-cover edition of the 18.40 x 16.40 x 8.13 in (467 x 417 x 207 mm) PJ raised-lid enclosure. Its bonded polycarbonate viewing window lets operators read displays or check indicator lamps in control housings and instrument enclosures without breaking the seal, in locations that are hosed down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive.
The body and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing specifies two 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, a 316 stainless steel hinge and a FIP polyurethane gasket, with a wall thickness of 0.14 in (3.57 mm). A padlocking provision is included on the door fasteners.
