The PJ20168RT is a 20.00 x 16.00 x 8.13 in (508 x 406 x 207 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a raised solid lid, offering a taller layout than the 18 x 16 size for control housings, terminal wiring enclosures and instrument enclosures. It is intended for equipment that may be hosed down or be very wet, and for high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.
The enclosure and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and can be easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing specifies two 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, a 316 stainless steel hinge, a FIP polyurethane gasket and a 0.14 in (3.56 mm) wall. The latches are draw-type fasteners with a provision for padlocking.
Inside, the optional P2068 inner panel measures 18.44 x 14.44 in (468 x 367 mm) and mounts on #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Back panels on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.250 in fiberglass. Four 316 stainless steel feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with 316 stainless screws, and mounting hardware is included.
The PJ20168RT is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 17 lbs (7.71 kg).
