With an 8.13 in depth, the PJ16148RT is a 16.27 x 14.40 x 8.13 in (413 x 366 x 207 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a raised solid lid, sized for larger control housings, terminal wiring enclosures and instrument enclosures. Like the rest of the PJ series, it is meant for equipment that is hosed down, very wet, or installed in high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing specifies two stainless steel lockable twist latches, a stainless steel hinge and a closed cell neoprene gasket; the latches include a provision for padlocking.
The optional 14R1513 inner panel measures 14.75 x 12.88 in (375 x 327 mm) and mounts on #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Back panel stock on the drawing is 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with stainless feet screws, and mounting hardware is included. The long description gives 16.28 x 14.40 x 8.13.
The PJ16148RT is listed to UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant.
