Hammond PJ14126RT 14x12x6 Raised Lid Type 4X Fiberglass Enclosure

The PJ14126RT is a 14.13 x 12.26 x 6.13 in (359 x 311 x 156 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a raised solid lid. It is one of the mid-range sizes in the PJ twist-latch series and is designed for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures that are hosed down, very wet, hot or in highly corrosive environments.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows two stainless steel lockable twist latches, a stainless steel hinge and a closed cell neoprene gasket. The series describes the gasket as captive and oil resistant for a positive seal, and the latches carry a provision for padlocking.

Equipment mounts on the optional 14R1311 inner panel, 12.75 x 10.88 in (324 x 276 mm), secured to #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Drawn back panel thicknesses are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with stainless screws, and mounting hardware is included. The long description lists the width as 12.25.

The PJ14126RT holds UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 listings, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 9 lbs (4.08 kg).
