The PJ18168RT is an 18.40 x 16.40 x 8.13 in (467 x 417 x 207 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a raised solid lid. It gives integrators room for larger terminal strips, control components and instruments in electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes and terminal wiring enclosures that are hosed down, very wet, hot or in highly corrosive environments.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors to protect against outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows two 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, a 316 stainless steel hinge, a FIP polyurethane gasket and a 0.14 in (3.57 mm) wall. The draw-type latches include a provision for padlocking.
The optional inner panel for this size is P1868, 16.88 x 14.88 in (429 x 378 mm), fastened to #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. On the drawing, back panel stock is 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or a heavier 0.250 in fiberglass. Four 316 stainless steel feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with 316 stainless screws, and mounting hardware is included.
The PJ18168RT is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates between 130°C and -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 16 lbs (7.26 kg).
