The PJ18168HW is an 18 x 16 x 8 PJ Series window enclosure with a hinged screw cover. It gives OEM engineers and electricians a large Type 4X fiberglass polyester box for instrument enclosures, control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring, with a polycarbonate window for checking equipment without removing the cover.
A 316 stainless steel hinge supports the cover, which is fastened by two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-ring in #10-32 brass inserts and sealed with a FIP polyurethane gasket. Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors. The drawing shows a 0.14 in (3.57 mm) wall.
The enclosure measures 18.40 in H x 16.40 in W x 8.13 in D (467 x 417 x 207 mm) and ships at 16 lbs (7.26 kg). The optional P1868 inner panel is 16.88 x 14.88 in; back panels on the drawing are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and a thicker 0.250 in (6.35 mm) fiberglass option.
Four 316 stainless steel feet with 316 stainless steel screws mount on rear brass inserts. The series is rated UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94 and IEC 60529 IP66, operating from 130°C to -40°C. PJ18168HW is RoHS and REACH compliant.
