PJ18168LW is the snap latch version of the 18 x 16 x 8 PJ Series window enclosure. The hinged polycarbonate window cover closes on two lockable snap latches, giving a large Type 4X fiberglass polyester housing for control equipment and instruments that can be monitored through the cover.
The drawing calls out two 316 stainless steel lockable snap latches, a 316 stainless steel hinge and a FIP polyurethane gasket. The series notes that the fasteners include a padlocking provision. Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the enclosure is easily punched, cut, or drilled.
Dimensions are 18.40 in H x 16.40 in W x 8.13 in D (467 x 417 x 207 mm) and shipping weight is 16 lbs (7.26 kg). The optional P1868 inner panel measures 16.88 x 14.88 in and mounts on #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Drawn back panel options include 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.250 in fiberglass.
Four 316 stainless steel feet attach at the rear. The series carries UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94 and IEC 60529 IP66 ratings. PJ18168LW is RoHS and REACH compliant.
