The PJ16148TW is a twist latch window enclosure from the PJ Series, sized 16 x 14 x 8. It is a Type 4X fiberglass polyester housing for instruments, control equipment, junction wiring and terminal blocks where the contents need to be seen and the enclosure may face washdown or corrosion.
Two stainless steel lockable twist latches secure the hinged cover, which turns on a stainless steel hinge and seals on a closed cell neoprene gasket. The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors to protect against outdoor weathering.
It measures 16.27 in H x 14.40 in W x 8.13 in D (413 x 366 x 207 mm) and ships at 14 lbs (6.35 kg). The optional 14R1513 inner panel, 14.75 x 12.88 in, mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. The drawing lists back panels in 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass.
Four stainless steel mounting feet with stainless steel screws are fitted at the rear. The series is rated UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94 and IEC 60529 IP66, operating from -40°C to 130°C. PJ16148TW is RoHS and REACH compliant.
