PJ16148LW is a 16 x 14 x 8 PJ Series fiberglass polyester enclosure with a hinged polycarbonate window cover that closes on two lockable snap latches. It is a roomy choice for instrument enclosures, control housings and terminal wiring where a latched, visible, Type 4X housing is wanted.
According to the drawing, the cover uses two stainless steel lockable snap latches, a stainless steel hinge and a closed cell neoprene gasket. The series describes the latches as draw-type snap latch fasteners with a provision for padlocking. Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors.
The enclosure is 16.27 in H x 14.40 in W x 8.13 in D (413 x 366 x 207 mm) and ships at 14 lbs (6.35 kg). Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws take the optional 14R1513 inner panel (14.75 x 12.88 in), with back panel options of 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass.
Four stainless steel mounting feet attach at the rear on brass inserts. Series ratings: UL 508A Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL per CSA 22.2 No. 94, IEC 60529 IP66, and operation between 130°C and -40°C. PJ16148LW is RoHS and REACH compliant.
