Hammond PJ12106R 12x10x6 in Raised Lift-Off Solid Cover Junction Box

The PJ12106R is a Type 4X wallmount junction box molded from fiberglass reinforced polyester, built for instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, junction boxes and terminal wiring. It measures 12.13 in H x 10.26 in W x 6.13 in D (308 x 261 x 156 mm) and carries a raised, lift-off solid cover, giving extra depth above the flange for wiring and devices.

Both box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering. Walls are 0.14 in (3.55 mm) thick, the material is easily punched, cut or drilled, and it withstands an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb) across an operating range of 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).

The cover is secured by four 316 stainless steel captive screws with retaining O-rings, threading into #10-32 brass inserts, and seals on a captive, oil resistant FIP polyurethane gasket. That makes the PJ12106R well suited to hose-down or very wet locations and to highly corrosive environments.

For mounting, four 316 stainless steel feet attach to brass inserts on the rear, with stainless hardware included. Inside, brass inserts accept the optional 14R1109 inner panel (10.75 x 8.88 in), offered in white powder coated steel, aluminum or fiberglass. Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).
