The PJ1086RH is a Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester junction box with a raised, hinged solid cover and 6.13 in of depth; overall it measures 10.13 x 8.26 x 6.13 in (257 x 210 x 156 mm). The hinged cover stays attached while the box is open, a convenience for junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures, instrument enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings in hosed-down, very wet, hot or highly corrosive locations.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. Per the drawing, the cover rides on a stainless steel hinge (continuous per the series) and closes with two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings into #10-32 brass inserts, sealing against a closed cell neoprene gasket.
Four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws accept the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), offered in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass; hardware is included. Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to rear brass inserts for wall mounting.
The PJ1086RH is UL 508A listed Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and cUL listed to the same types per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg).
