The PJ1086RHW is the deeper hinged window version of the 10 x 8 PJ raised lid box, measuring 10.13 x 8.26 x 6.13 in (257 x 210 x 156 mm). Its raised hinged cover includes a bonded polycarbonate viewing window, making it a practical choice for instrument enclosures and control housings for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, as well as junction and terminal wiring boxes in wet, washdown, hot or highly corrosive environments.
The Type 4X box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and are easily punched, cut or drilled. The cover pivots on a stainless steel hinge, continuous per the series, and is secured with two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings into #10-32 brass inserts. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket.

The PJ1086RHW is UL 508A listed Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, cUL listed to the same types per CSA 22.2 No. 94, and complies with IEC 60529 IP66. It is rated for 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg).
