The PJ1086RW pairs a 10.13 x 8.26 x 6.13 in (257 x 210 x 156 mm) Type 4X fiberglass reinforced polyester box with a raised lift-off cover that has a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It is intended for instrument enclosures, electrical junction boxes, terminal wiring enclosures and electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings where equipment may be hosed down, very wet, hot or in highly corrosive surroundings.
Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray with enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. Four stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings fasten the lift-off cover into #10-32 brass inserts. The drawing specifies a closed cell neoprene gasket, which the series describes as captive and oil resistant.
The optional 14R0907 inner panel measures 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm) and mounts on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws, hardware included; it comes in white powder coated steel, unfinished aluminum or fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet attach to brass inserts on the rear of the PJ1086RW.
