The PJ1086RTW is a 10.13 x 8.26 x 6.13 in (257 x 210 x 156 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure whose raised cover holds a bonded polycarbonate viewing window. It is intended for instrument enclosures, control housings and terminal wiring enclosures where equipment must stay visible yet protected from hose-down, heavy wetting, high temperatures or highly corrosive surroundings.
The box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester with a gray finish and enhanced UV inhibitors for outdoor weathering, and the body is easily punched, cut or drilled. On the drawing, a stainless steel lockable twist latch located on center closes the cover, a stainless steel hinge carries it, and a closed cell neoprene gasket seals it. The latch has a provision for padlocking.
At 6.13 in (156 mm) deep, it offers more room than the 4.13 in PJ1084RTW. The optional 14R0907 inner panel (8.75 x 6.88 in / 222 x 175 mm) mounts on threaded brass inserts, with back panels drawn at 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. Four stainless steel feet mount to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear, and mounting hardware is included.
The PJ1086RTW is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Operating temperatures run from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F); impact index is 6.78J (5 ft/lb) and shipping weight 6 lbs (2.72 kg).
