Hammond PJ12106RT 12x10x6 Raised Lid Type 4X Fiberglass Enclosure

The PJ12106RT is a 12.13 x 10.26 x 6.13 in (308 x 261 x 156 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a raised solid lid, part of the PJ twist-latch series. It is a practical mid-size box for electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings, instrument enclosures and terminal wiring enclosures in areas that get hosed down or stay very wet, as well as in high-temperature or highly corrosive environments.

Box and cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester in gray, protected by enhanced UV inhibitors, and the material is easily punched, cut or drilled. At this size the drawing moves to two 316 stainless steel lockable twist latches, along with a 316 stainless steel hinge, a FIP polyurethane gasket and a 0.14 in (3.55 mm) wall. The draw-type latches include a provision for padlocking.

Inside, the optional 14R1109 inner panel measures 10.75 x 8.88 in (273 x 226 mm) and fastens to #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel screws. Back panel stock on the drawing is 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, or 0.125 in fiberglass. Four 316 stainless steel feet attach to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with 316 stainless feet screws, and mounting hardware is included.

The PJ12106RT is UL 508A and cUL (per CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed for Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. It operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has an impact index of 6.78J (5 ft/lb) and ships at 7 lbs (3.18 kg). The long description gives the size as 12.14 x 10.26 x 6.13.
