The PJ1086RT gives the 10.13 x 8.26 in PJ footprint a deeper 6.13 in body, for an overall 10.13 x 8.26 x 6.13 in (257 x 210 x 156 mm) Type 4X wallmount enclosure with a solid raised lid. The extra depth helps with taller devices in instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housings and terminal wiring enclosures that are hosed down, very wet, hot or exposed to corrosive conditions.
Construction is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester for both box and cover, gray, with enhanced UV inhibitors, and it is easily punched, cut or drilled. The drawing shows a single stainless steel lockable twist latch located on center, a stainless steel hinge and a closed cell neoprene gasket. The latch includes a provision for padlocking.
It accepts the optional 14R0907 inner panel, 8.75 x 6.88 in (222 x 175 mm), on threaded brass inserts. Drawn back panel thicknesses are 0.100 in aluminum, 0.075 in white steel and galvannealed, and 0.125 in fiberglass. Four stainless steel mounting feet fasten to #10-32 brass inserts on the rear with stainless screws; mounting hardware is included.
Ratings for the PJ1086RT include UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 compliance and IEC 60529 IP66. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F), has a 6.78J (5 ft/lb) impact index and ships at 6 lbs (2.72 kg).
