Hammond PHW20168 20x16x8 Fiberglass NEMA 4X Wallmount Enclosure

The PHW20168 is a 20 x 16 x 8 in nominal Type 4X polyester wallmount enclosure for electrical, electronic, instrumentation and mechanical controls. It offers two more inches of nominal depth than the 6 in model on the same 20 x 16 footprint for components that need more room behind the door.

Construction is compression molded, fiberglass reinforced polyester with a light gray finish, chosen for locations where a corrosion resistant, watertight enclosure is needed. The door is ported on a continuous hinge and fastened with stainless steel butterfly type twist latches, and a memory retaining continuous door gasket comes standard. Hardware is stainless steel and a padlocking provision is included.

Measured overall, the PHW20168 is 22.75 in H x 16.87 in W x 9.77 in D (578 x 428 x 248 mm), with a shipping weight of 22 lbs (9.98 kg). The optional 18P1713 inner panel, 17.00 x 13.00 in (432 x 330 mm), attaches to molded in panel mounting inserts.

Integral mounting feet are built in for wall installation, indoors or outdoors. The series carries UL 508A and CSA Types 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IEC 60529 IP 66, providing protection against windblown dust and rain, splashing and hose directed water. The PHW20168 is RoHS and REACH compliant.
