Hammond PHW20166 20x16x6 Fiberglass Type 4X Wallmount Enclosure

The PHW20166 is a Type 4X polyester wallmount enclosure in a 20 x 16 x 6 in nominal size, the shallowest of the 20 x 16 footprints in the PHW Series. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, instrumentation and mechanical controls indoors and outdoors, where a corrosion resistant, watertight enclosure is needed to protect against windblown dust and rain, splashing and hose directed water.

The body is compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester finished in light gray. The door is carried on a continuous hinge and secured by stainless steel butterfly type twist latch fasteners, with a padlocking provision for controlled access. A memory retaining, continuous door gasket is standard, and all hardware is stainless steel.

Overall, the PHW20166 measures 22.75 in H x 16.87 in W x 7.77 in D (578 x 428 x 197 mm) and has a shipping weight of 17 lbs (7.71 kg). Molded in panel mounting inserts accept the optional 18P1713 inner panel, which is 17.00 x 13.00 in (432 x 330 mm).

Integral mounting feet allow the enclosure to be fixed directly to a wall or structure. The series is listed UL 508A Types 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X and 12, certified CSA to the same types, and complies with NEMA 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and IEC 60529 IP 66. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
