Hammond PHW24208 24x20x8 Fiberglass Type 4X Wall Mount Enclosure

The PHW24208 is a Type 4X polyester wallmount enclosure with a 24 x 20 x 8 in nominal size. It is built to accommodate electrical, electronic, instrumentation and mechanical controls in indoor and outdoor locations, and is aimed at sites where a corrosion resistant, watertight housing must stand up to windblown dust and rain, splashing and hose directed water.

The enclosure is compression molded from fiberglass reinforced polyester and finished in light gray. Its door runs on a continuous hinge and is held closed by stainless steel butterfly type twist latches; a padlocking provision is provided. A memory retaining, continuous door gasket is standard and the hardware throughout is stainless steel.

Overall dimensions of the PHW24208 are 27 in H x 21.24 in W x 9.9 in D (686 x 539 x 251 mm), and it ships at 32 lbs (14.51 kg). For component layout, the optional 18P2117 inner panel measures 21.00 x 17.00 in (533 x 432 mm) and fastens to molded in panel mounting inserts, giving a larger working area than the 20 x 16 sizes.
