Hammond HYMPB2SS 2-Hole 22mm Hygienic Stainless Pushbutton Enclosure

The HYMPB2SS is a two-hole hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosure from the HYPB Series, sized for a pair of 22mm pushbuttons or indicators on equipment that is cleaned by hose-down. Machine builders and plant electricians use it to put simple operator controls right where they are needed without compromising washdown protection. The same body with 30mm holes is the HYPB2SS.

It is formed from 304 stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural #4 dairy finish on cover and enclosure. All four sides are sloped 3° so water cannot rest on top regardless of orientation. A silicone gasket mounts around the entire door edge for easy cleaning and can be replaced with the HYG85. The hex head screw cover can be completely removed for modifications, and bonding and grounding studs are provided on the door and in the enclosure.

Dimensions are 7.94 in (202 mm) high by 4.88 in (124 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, nominal 8 x 5 x 4 in. The drawing shows a 7.12 x 4.19 in door, a 6.00 x 3.10 in opening, 5.37 x 2.31 in of clear space on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth, with 0.89 in notched pushbutton holes.

Because there are no pre-drilled wall mounting holes, the HYMPB2SS can be welded in place or mounted on stand-offs. The series is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. It ships in a box at 8 lb (3.63 kg).
