The HYMPB1SSR is the compact square version of the single-hole hygienic Type 4X stainless steel pushbutton enclosure in the HYPB Series. With one 22mm pushbutton hole in a 4.98 in (126 mm) square footprint, it is a good fit where a single pushbutton or indicator must be placed on washdown equipment with limited space. Its 30mm-hole counterpart is the HYPB1SSR.
Construction is formed 304 stainless steel, sloped 3° on all four sides so water runs off in any orientation, with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural #4 dairy finish. The silicone gasket runs around the entire door edge and can be removed for cleaning; the listed replacement is the HYG55. The hex head screw cover lifts off completely for modifications, and a bonding stud on the door and grounding stud in the enclosure are included.
The enclosure measures 4.98 in (126 mm) high by 4.98 in (126 mm) wide by 4.00 in (102 mm) deep, with a nominal size of 5 x 5 x 4 in. Its drawing shows a 4.12 x 4.12 in door, 2.37 in of clear space on the door and 3.43 in of usable depth, with a 0.89 in notched pushbutton hole.
Mounting is left to the installer: there are no pre-drilled wall holes, so weld-in-place or stand-off mounting can be used. The series carries UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 12, 4, 4X ratings, complies with NEMA 3R, 12, 4, 4X and IEC 60529 IP69/IP69K, and meets NSF/ANSI 169. The HYMPB1SSR has a shipping weight of 6 lb (2.72 kg).
