Hammond FT600TA1BK 1U 600 CFM 6-Fan Rack Tray, 115 VAC

The FT600TA1BK is a 1U rack mount fan tray for 19" mounting, built with six thermally protected ball-bearing fans that deliver 600 CFM of free-flow air. It is intended for IT, telecom, AV and industrial users who need to add cooling to rack-mounted equipment without modifying the cabinet. This version ships without an on/off switch, making it suited to permanently powered installations; the switched equivalent in the series is FT600HA1BK.

Construction is mild steel in a heavy-duty 1U fan tray format, with integrated finger guards above and below the fans to improve safety while maintaining unrestricted airflow. A resettable circuit breaker on the front of the tray provides circuit breaker protection during operation. The unit ships fully assembled.

Overall size is 1.75 in x 17 in x 13 in (44 mm x 432 mm x 330 mm), with a 19.000 in (482.60 mm) mounting flange width and 1.750 in (44.45 mm) panel height from the drawing, so it occupies a single rack unit. Shipping weight is 20.9 lbs (9.48 kg). Electrically, FT600TA1BK runs on 115 VAC at 50/60 Hz, drawing 1 running amp for 80 running watts, and measured noise is 65 dB.

As a 6-fan model, the tray includes an adjustable rear support bracket for improved stability in deeper cabinets, adjustable from a 2.40 in (61 mm) minimum to 19.20 in (488 mm) maximum rear bracket depth. Assembly instructions call for mounting support brackets to the rear combination rail with 10-32 hardware (not supplied), fitting the extension brackets to the tray with the supplied #6 screws and washers, then securing the tray to the front combination rail.
