Hammond EN4SD483616S16R 48x36x16-Inch Quarter-Turn 316 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD483616S16R is the deepest 48 x 36 in Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in this group, measuring 48 in x 36 in x 16 in (1,219 mm x 914 mm x 406 mm) and made from 316 stainless steel. The manufacturer describes it as an N4X Eclipse enclosure with extra quarter turns. The 16 in depth suits bulky electrical and electronic equipment that must be protected in harsh, industrial environments.

It is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The hinged door closes on Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns, seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket, and hangs on hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins. A door alignment guide is provided on this 36 in width, the door is removable and interchangeable, and adapter kit EHLLSAK reverses its swing. Cover and enclosure are natural brushed stainless steel.

The drawing shows a 34.31 in x 46.28 in door opening, a 35.97 in x 47.97 in door and 30.65 in x 46.00 in of clear space available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 34.50 in x 46.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. The optional EP4836 inner panel measures 46.20 in x 34.20 in and mounts on collar studs; at this width an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD483616S16R is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66. Shipping weight is 180 lbs (81.65 kg) in a box. EN4SD483616SSR is the 304 version.
