Hammond EN4SD483612SSR 48x36x12-Inch Quarter-Turn 304 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD483612SSR is an Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel, sized 48 in x 36 in x 12 in (1,219 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm). The manufacturer describes it as an N4X Eclipse enclosure with extra quarter turns, and its door latches with Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns. It is built for enclosing electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments, where its 12 in depth leaves room for larger components.

The body is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The door seals against a seamless poured-in place gasket, hangs on hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins, and is guided by the door alignment guide provided on 36 in wide enclosures. Doors are removable and interchangeable, and the swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. The finish is natural brushed stainless.

The 0.50 in wall mounting holes are on 34.50 in x 46.50 in centres, and the included hardware kit provides panel mounting nuts and sealing washers. The optional EP4836 inner panel, 46.20 in x 34.20 in, mounts on collar studs and is required at this width to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD483612SSR is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. It ships in a box at 148 lbs (67.13 kg); the 316 version is EN4SD483612S16R.
